The purpose of the Marketing and Communication Committee is to oversee all Black Roadrunner Alumni Council social media platforms, distribute information regarding council,including all public relations materials, press releases, advertisements, mailings and mass communication emails to the membership.

Chair and committee duties include by are not limited to:

• Works in conjunction with Secretary to provide leadership for the Marketing & Communication Committee
• Serve as a spokesperson within the organization for the fundraising committee
• Communicate regularly with committee members
• Keeps meeting minutes of all committee meetings
• Maintains the Black Roadrunner Alumni Council website, social media pages, and associated online services as resources permit. 
• Crafts and coordinates all internet related activities of the Black Alumni Association to promote our mission 
• Crafts marketing for and promotes all council events and projects through local and university media. 
• Collaborate with the Executive Committee to formulate media release statements and responses on behalf of the Black Roadrunner Alumni Council.
• Attends Executive Committee meetings 
• Brings the viewpoint of the Executive Committee to the Marketing & Communication Committee and vice versa
• Supports the mission, vision, and purpose of the Black Roadrunner Alumni Council
